Ahoy everyone! It's your boy Elder Aldrich back with more tales to tell from Nebraska. This week was full of appointments that fell through, service, and anxiously awaiting transfer news!
Like I alluded to above, we had a lot of appointments get cancelled on us this week. It seems like everyone we want to teach decided to get injured this week. Our friend Deb hurt her hip so she couldn't come to church or meet with us, and our friend Danny was in the hospital because he tweaked his back pretty bad. We helped a guy named Mike build industrial shelves in his basement, and I was really grateful for my experience building a bunch of shelves in Student Council because we cranked that out in no time. This week was the last week of the transfer, and we we've been waiting for news all week to see if the trio is staying together or not. We found out yesterday that Elder Eich is heading up to somewhere in Omaha, and Elder Smith and I will be sticking around here in Lincoln. Now our English-speaking area will be covered by two Spanish-speaking missionaries haha.
One funny experience from this week was witnessing a "cat-burglary". While knocking doors in a more interesting part of our area, we saw a lady trying to steal her neighbor's cat. It was really dramatic and a whole bunch of people were arguing, while we were just standing on the porch trying not to laugh. It was so awkward and they told us to just come back another time.
